Spring storm on Snoqualmie Pass dumps more than a foot of snow and delays construction

The spring storm that dumped more than a foot of snow on Interstate 90 over Snoqualmie Pass Monday, delays construction activities today and tonight.

Due to the winter-like weather, the Washington State Department of Transportation and construction crews will not be conducting rolling slowdowns today and have cancelled the rock blasting closure planned for tonight. Crews plan to close I-90 for an hour on Thursday, May 2 from 7 to 8 p.m. This work is weather dependent and is subject to change. The closure points will be from Gold Creek (milepost 54) to the Price Creek interchange (milepost 61).
