Woman shoots herself at Snoqualmie Falls parking lot

Snoqualmie police responded to assist a woman injured Monday morning, April 29, at the Salish Lodge & Spa parking lot at Snoqualmie Falls, in what was reported as a self-inflicted shooting.

Snoqualmie Police Capt. Nick Almquist, speaking to the Record, said there was an emergency 911 response to the lodge around 7 a.m. Monday. A woman, who had been staying at the Falls over the past several days, and was reportedly depressed, shot herself in the chest while sitting in her car at the parking lot.

When officers arrived, she was still conscious. She was taken to an area hospital. As of Monday morning, it's not known how serious her injuries are.
