Bomb scare halts classes
October 2, 2008 · Updated 6:07 PM
The discovery of a suspicious package caused Mount Si High School officials to cancel classes and evacuate the school Monday, June 16.
The parcel in question, described as a well-built hoax, prompted administrators to call police, who brought in the Bellevue Bomb Squad to take a closer look.
The package had been delivered by an unnamed person to the high school office, and did not arrive by mail.
Students spent the afternoon at the school stadium, leaving their cars and belongings inside as parents and buses picked them up.
