Cascade Dance Academy of Snoqualmie Ridge is proud to announce its 2008 annual recital, set for Sunday, June 8.

Performances are at the Mount Si High School auditorium and will be open to the public. Tickets are $15 at the door.

“Dancing Disney,” for ages 2 to 6, begins at 2 p.m.

The curtain goes up at 5 p.m. for “Across the Universe.” This exciting evening of Beatles music will include dances from the ballet, tap, jazz, musical theater and hip-hop classes for students age 7 and older.

Cascade Dance Academy, owned by Katie Higuchi, opened in 2005. The academy offers pre-professional training for both aspiring dancers and recreational students. The academy believes in sound technical dance training that emphasizes anatomical principles. Higuchi and her teachers enthusiastically share the art of dance, from “Ballet to Broadway.” Classes follow the school year schedule, and the 2009 season will begin in September. Learn more about the program at www.CascadeDance.com or call (425) 396-0538.
