A woman in her 50s was struck and killed in a hit and run accident early this morning near North Bend and police need help locating the suspect vehicle.

According to reports from the King County Sheriff's Office, the incident started around 3 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, when a group was driving just east of the Snoqualmie Casino after a night out.  An argument ensued and the driver and a woman passenger got out of the car and started walking on 394 Place S.E., north of North Bend Way.

The driver eventually walked back to the car and the group drove around looking for the woman.  A short time later they found the woman in a ditch near the 10200 block of 394th Place. She had been struck and killed by a vehicle.

Detectives said debris left at the scene by the suspect vehicle, including a left front headlight, is consistent with a full size pickup truck.  Detectives believe there will be significant damage to the left front of the truck.

If you have information about the suspect vehicle or this crime, call the King County Sheriff’s Office at (206) 296-3311.
