Snoqualmie Parkway, Snoqualmie pass reopens after snow closure | update
December 19, 2012 · Updated 4:02 PM
Drivers stayed slow and steady on the morning commute Wednesday, Dec. 19, after snowfall put an inch or more of slushy white stuff on the Upper Valley. Some Valley roads saw stuck or disabled cars.
In Snoqualmie, the Snoqualmie Parkway closed on the hill between Railroad Avenue (Highway 202) and Douglas Avenue. It reopened by 10:45 a.m. City plows hit the streets to clear and de-ice. By the afternoon, intermittent snow had turned to rain.
In parts east, Snoqualmie Pass closed and opened several times over the previous 12 hours. WSDOT released eastbound traffic around 3 p.m. Wednesday at milepost 37, completing avalanche control work.
