In preparation for the November opening of nearby Casino Snoqualmie, North Bend officials are considering whether to ban card rooms in the city.

“One hand, it’s potential revenues. On the other hand, it’s one more activity to have to worry about,” said City Administrator Duncan Wilson, adding that the City Council plans to discuss a possible ban in a regular meeting next month. The date for that discussion has not yet been set.

Earlier this month, the Council voted to restrict pawn shops, tattoo parlors, and check-cashing shops to certain areas of the city.
