Fall City celebrates the holidays all day Saturday, Dec. 1, with a holiday market, musical programs, caroling and the lighting of the holiday tree.

Festivities begin at 10 a.m. with the Fall City Arts Holiday Market in the Chief Kanim Middle School Commons, 32627 S.E. Redmond-Fall City Road.

The market will offer hand-made items for sale from talented crafters and artists throughout the community including framed prints, candles, original paintings, jewelry, lotions, soaps, honey, chocolates, jams and jelly, scarves, dog toys, fleece blankets, table runners, placemats, wood items, ornaments, stationery, pottery, bird feeders, aprons and garden art.

The Fall City Historical Society will have a table with great gift ideas like the 2013 Fall City Calendar, new collector’s beverage glass with “Fall City Masonic Hall”, as well as Memory Book “Preserving the Stories of Fall City” and Jack’s History of Fall City.

The Fall City Metropolitan Parks District will also have a booth at the market, seeking community input on a parks wish list.

Bring your friends and enjoy a cup of coffee, have a snack and enter to win one of many unique raffle prizes.  Local Boy Scouts will be back with their holiday bake sale.

In the afternoon, there will be a gathering at the city’s Art Park, at the corner of S.R. 202 and 335th Place Southeast, both before and after the tree lighting.

At 4 p.m., Fall City Elementary School will host a concert featuring several of its student music groups.

After the program, participants will carol their way to Olive Taylor Quigley Park, for the tree-lighting, with music by the Chief Kanim Middle School choir. Support your local crafters and artists at the 13th annual Fall City Arts Holiday Market, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Chief Kanim Middle School.
