The city of North Bend invites residents to help clean up their community, at a recycling event, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at Mount Si High School’s back parking lot.

All King County households are eligible to participate. The event is funded with grants from the King County Local Hazardous Waste Management Program, King County Solid Waste Division, and Washington State Department of Ecology.

The North Bend public works department accepts residential household materials for recycling. Some items have a fee.

The event was moved from the high school’s front lot because of a Special Olympics event at Mount Si happening on Saturday.

For information, call Kirsten Weinmeister,Recycling Coordinator at (425) 831-4919, ext. 23, by Thursday, April 24.

The recycling event does not replace the Household Hazardous Wastemobile that collects paint and pesticides. The King County Wastemobile will be at Snoqualmie Elementary from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. August 22 to 24. For more Wastemobile information, call the Household Hazards Line at (206) 296-4692.
