Raffle to help Bikes for Books

The Unity Masonic Lodge in North Bend is conducting a fund-raising raffle for its upcoming Bikes for Books reading program.

In Bikes for Books, the Masons buy a mountain bike for one boy and one girl in each of the elementary schools in Snoqualmie and North Bend. Bikes are given to the schools, and teaching staff decide how to use them to enhance their reading programs and encourage kids to read.

Opstad Elementary and North Bend Elementary schools participated this past year, and Cascade View Elementary and Snoqualmie Elementary schools will be added to the program in September.

Raffle prizes include a one-day guided fishing trip for two people through the Fish Tail guide service,

Tickets are $5, and only 500 have been printed. Raffle tickets can be purchased at Singletrack Cycles, 119 W. North Bend Way.
