Five Cedarcrest High School science students spent Saturday, Oct. 27, journeying to Yakima for the Washington State Science Teacher Association conference. Science teachers Wehr and Murdock, and CHS graduate Topi Viljamaa accompanied seniors Andrew Burnell and Anjani Patel, and sophomores Avery Rich and Thorsen Wehr on the trip.

The focus of the presentation was on integrating research into every science teacher’s classroom. Each Cedarcrest student provided a brief summary of his or her own research, and described the accolades and opportunities that came from their work.

“Sharing student success is always a pleasure,” said Wehr, “It’s fine when teachers listen to teachers, but they really enjoy listening to the final product, our students!”
