Man killed in SR 202 crash Friday afternoon

One man was killed just before 1 p.m. Friday, in a two-car collision on State Route 202, the Washington State Patrol reports.

The man, the only occupant in his vehicle, was apparently turning eastbound onto 202, when an oncoming vehicle struck his car, killing him.

According to a Highway Patrol spokeswoman, the other vehicle had several occupants, who were still being evaluated for injuries. Their injuries did appear to be minor, she said.

The accident was reported to the Washington State Patrol at 12:50 p.m. and is still under investigation.
