Mount Si trail to close briefly for helicopter operation

Starting at 10 p.m. Monday, the state Department of Natural Resources will close a section of trail in the Mount Si Natural Resources Conservation Area (NRCA) for a helicopter operation.

The section affected includes the Mount Si and Teneriffe Falls Trails. The trails will re-open Tuesday, May 15, at approximately 1:30 p.m.

Hikers are directed to alternate hikes at Little Si, Rattlesnake Mountain, Rattlesnake Ledge and Twin Falls.
