May 9, 2012 · 11:29 AM

The MoveOn political action group holds a street protest starting at 1 p.m. today, May 9, in front of North Bend's Bank of America branch.

The Valley protest is meant to support a number of protests by the group, happening nationwide and timed to coincide with the national yearly shareholder's meeting of the bank in Charlotte, North Carolina.

According to MoveOn.org, the May 9 action is part of the 99% Spring Bank Protest, against what it describes as destructive foreclosure and corporate practices.
