County accepting storm debris free this weekend

King County is accepting wood debris from the recent winter storms for recycling from 9 a.m. to 3 p..m., Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 4 and 5. Four locations will be accepting debris, including the Cedar Falls transfer station.

Residents can take debris to these locations: Cedar Falls Drop Box, 16925 Cedar Falls Rd., North Bend; Enumclaw Recycling and Transfer Station, 1650 Battersby Ave. E, Enumclaw; Shoreline Recycling and Transfer Station, 2300 N 165th St., Shoreline; and Kent’s Russell Road Park, 24400 Russell Rd., Kent.

These events are open to King County residents only, and exclusively for wood debris from the recent storms. Stumps, logs and limbs no longer than six feet in length are allowed. Please place material on a tarp or sheet of plywood for ease of removal. No brush, leaves, grass clippings, sod, soil, construction or other debris will be accepted. Residents are reminded to secure their loads.
