Riverview Foundation opens 20th grant season for teachers, students, parents

The Riverview Education Foundation (REF) is now accepting grant applications for 2011-2012, from teachers, staff, parents, and students of the Riverview School District.

Individual class grants are eligible for up to $1,000. Other grants such as whole school, whole grade, program or department-wide, are eligible for up to $3,000. Grant application forms,  as well as criteria and restrictions are available at www.REFweb.org.

REF awarded approximately $41,000 in grants last year, plus an additional $20,000 to help meet other district needs. Since its inception, REF has awarded nearly $350,000 in grants.

Grant applications are due Friday, Dec. 16. Applications can be e-mailed or mailed, postmarked no later than Dec. 16. Awards will be announced in January.
