Former Snoqualmie man sentenced on violence, firearms charges

Geoffrie Glass, formerly of Snoqualmie, was sentenced Friday, Aug. 12, to one year and three months in jail, with credit for 65 days already served, on multiple charges of domestic violence.

According to court papers, Glass pleaded guilty to one count of fourth-degree assault-domestic violence, one count of harassment-domestic violence, and one count of second-degree unlawful possession of firearms. Each domestic violence charge came with a 12-month jail sentence, but the sentencing record indicates Glass will be allowed to serve these terms concurrently. He must serve the three-month jail sentence for the firearms charge consecutively, court papers state.

County court records show that Glass was charged July 11 with second-degree assault-domestic violence, fourth-degree assault-domestic violence, felony harassment-domestic violence, and second-degree unlawful possession of firearms. These charges are from the June 7 arrest of Glass, after his wife called police.

Terms of Glass's sentence include a five-year court-ordered period of no contact with his wife, and enrollment in a domestic violence program. An additional condition of the sentence recorded in the court record is a meeting with the sentencing judge, Susan Craighead, in December, to review his compliance with all terms of the sentence, including the domestic violence treatment.

Glass is being held in the King County Jail. Following his release, he will be on probation for two years.
