Community members are invited to a forum on the Snoqualmie Valley School District's budget Tuesday, Aug. 16, 7 to 9 p.m. in the Fireside Room of the Si View Community Center, 400 SE Orchard Drive, North Bend.

Andrea Hardy, public finance analyst for the Washington Education Association, will present information on the financial picture of the district, and examine how the district is spending its $55 million budget. The presentation will also examine how much of the budget is spent on teaching and instruction, and how the budget compares with other school districts.

The presentation will include time for questions.

Hardy is a former public finance analyst for the Appropriations Committee of the Washington State House of Representatives.
