Cities plan for traffic impacts of Warrior Dash
July 5, 2011 · 1:55 PM
The staff from the cities of North Bend and Snoqualmie have been working with event organizers of the world renowned Warrior Dash to bring the event to Meadowbrook Farm midsummer. The Warrior Dash is a mud crawling, fire leaping, running event that is scheduled for the weekend of July 16 to 17.
“This is an exciting event that may bring as many as 17,500 participants to our community over the weekend,” said Community & Economic Development Director Gina Estep. “We are working through the planning process to minimize adverse impacts; however you should expect some traffic congestion and delays as you travel through the North Bend area" the weekend of July 16 to 17.
Expected road closures will include Boalch Avenue from Northwest 14th Street to the Mount Si Golf Course entrance. Drivers will be able to access the Mount Si Golf Course from Snoqualmie via Meadowbrook Avenue to Park Street.
The first round of registration for the event closes today, July 5. To sign up or for more information about the event, visit the Warrior Dash website www.warriordash.com/register2011_washington.php.
