Principal Randy Taylor yesterday told staff members at Mount Si High School that he plans to retire at the end of the school year. He also announced his plans to the public today through an e-mail message to parents.

Taylor has been principal at Mount Si High School for six years, and has worked in education for 37 years. His retirement message listed some of the challenges the high school and the Snoqualmie Valley School District will face in the coming years, and he said it is time for "new leadership" on these issues.
