The Washington Department of Transportation has closed Interstate 90 at North Bend due to a snowbound Snoqualmie Pass.

The highway closed at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, due to multiple collisions and spun-out vehicles. State Troopers and WSDOT workers are clearing the roadway.

The closure will continue for an indefinite period, based on conditions.

Forecasters are calling for snow throughout areas of Western Washington through Thursday morning followed by extremely cold temperatures. Many areas have already seen several inches of wet, slushy snow.
