Lots of fun for children at Block Party Kids Area

Encompass of North Bend is organizing a full slate of children’s activities for the North Bend Block Party.

“The Kids Area provides an opportunity for families to come out together,” said Stacey Cepeda, Encompass manager of community activities. “We’ll have something for everybody to do.” Activities include the Banana Boogie, a rock climbing wall, remote-control NASCAR races and hoop shoots.

A skate demonstration by Boarders for Christ, sponsored by Calvary Chapel in North Bend, starts at 3:30 p.m. at the North Bend Skate Park, next to Les Schwab at Torguson Park. There will be a showing of “D.O.P.E. the Movie” at 8 p.m. at the North Bend Theatre, starring legendary skater Christian Hosoi.
