Deputies plan Operation Santa
December 1, 2009 · 3:33 PM
With Christmas around the corner, the King County Sheriff’s Office’ North Bend substation is sponsoring the annual “Operation Santa Claus.”
As deputies perform their duties in the Valley, they are often able to identify families in crisis. Operation Santa Claus gives officers the chance to extend the holiday spirit to those in need. On Dec. 18, deputies will deliver boxes of food and toys to selected families.
Community help is vital to the program. Donations of canned or packaged non-perishable food and wrapped toys for boys and girls are being accepted at the station, 150 Boalch Ave. N.W. For those who would like to make a cash donation, a non-profit account has been set up at the North Bend Bank of America.
