Snoqualmie Middle School students earn fitness honors

Twenty-two students at Snoqualmie Middle School achieved outstanding marks in their physical fitness testing this year.

Students took the Presidential Fitness Test twice during the school year with a pre-test in the fall and a post-test in the spring using the nationally recognized Presidential Fitness Test.

The tests measured strength, flexibility and endurance. Assessments used were the mile run, curl-ups, sit and reach, shuttle run and pull-ups or flex arm hang.

The following students made it into the top 15 percentile of all five assessed areas:

Eighth grade

Nadja Beattie and Anna Mounsey

Seventh grade

Ryley Absher, Mackenzie Brown, Erica Hookland, Kira Jerome, Ally Jones, Kristen Kasel, Alaina Kinghorn, Emma Larson and Rieley VanCampen.

Sixth grade

Elizabeth Barrett, Johanna Cranford, Brock Johnson, Kaitlin Kasel, Jennifer Rogers, Katelyn Sundwall, James Turner, Zoe Virta, Michaela Wallace, Elle Wilson and Jessica Wright.
