Learning how a newspaper is created, Tiger Cub Scouts from Pack 452 visited the Snoqualmie Valley Record office on Friday, April 24 for some lessons in journalism.

Scouts Matthew Chow, Cody Barber, Robbie Vukovich, Alex Bourlin and John Lang got a behind-the-scenes look at how news is gathered, ads are made and the paper is put together. The boys had a great time.

The group also had the chance to tour North Bend City Hall with Mayor Ken Hearing on Friday, April 17.

Pack 452 is recruiting boys who will be in the first through fourth grades in the 2009-10 school year. A recruitment night is being held on Friday, May 29, at 6 p.m. in the North Bend Elementary multi-purpose room. Afterwards, boys and their families are invited to attend the pack meeting at 7 p.m. for “Take It Apart Night,” in which families are encouraged to explore and take apart electronics.
