North Bend's Unity Theater is offering a double dose of comedy and improvisation during the month of March.

On Saturday, March 19 at 7:30 p.m., the Spolin Players Improv troupe will present a program of unscripted and unrehearsed theater games, music, laughter and fun. Members of the Northwest company include: Paul Bergman, Paula Bennett, Jennifer Parker, Andy Tribolini, Matty Whitman, Jana Healy, Cynthia Lair and Steve Brush.

At 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, the theater will feature The EDGE improv troupe. This troupe has been transforming audience suggestions into skits, song and even dance for 10 years in the Seattle area. Performances are never scripted; in fact they're making things up as they go along! The troupe's expertise at provoking laughter has been compared to "Saturday Night Live" and "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"

Making a third appearance at the Unity Theater will be Dr. Andrew Shields and Vivian Shields. This husband and wife duo is ready to give you a healthy dose of romance, satire and song. Andrew's even written a song entitled "North Bend" that's sure to be a hit.

There will also be a belly dance with the North Bend Tribal Belly Dance troupe led by Fran Maas.

Both shows start at 7:30 p.m. and admission is $10 regular and $5 for seniors and children.
