Fall City wedding and portrait photographers Tyler and Rachael Austin won gold in the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International's Awards of Excellence competition.

The Austins' photo, which got a Gold Award in the wedding category, was captured in Snoqualmie at the train depot, even though creative lighting and their ability to turn a photo into a work of art may have viewers wondering exactly where the spot they took the photo actually was.

“I actually took the photo and did the retouching work, but it wouldn’t have been possible without Rachael holding the lights and helping to direct and guide the couple into the perfect pose,” said Tyler.

Tyler and Rachael have a passion for depicting the true essence of people’s relationships and personality, whether it’s a family, high school senior, or a newly engaged or wedded couple.

They collaborate together to photograph a limited number of weddings each year so they have plenty of availability for high school seniors and families to provide a very customized and personal experience.

They plan on having a booth at Fall City Days to be able to meet more of the community as well as raffling off gifts and photo sessions. Learn more about Tyler and Rachael on their website at www.TAustinPhotography.com.
