Qi Gong lessons, intro by Fall City’s Sifu Sasynuik

Fall City instructor Sifu Johann Sasynuik teaches Qi Gong exercises at a one-day workshop, aimed at promoting health and longevity.

According to Sasynuik, anyone can do Qi Gong. Like Tai Ji (sometimes incorrectly spelled chi), the movements are slow and meditative. Like yoga, there are specific practices for specific health needs. The effects are calming and energizing at the same time.

Sasynuik teaches an Introduction to Qi Gong class, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 29, at the Washington Fencing Academy, 1470 19th Ave. N.W., Issaquah. Cost is $90.
