Snoqualmie Hospital's Lunch and Learn discusses support for caregivers
October 4, 2011 · 1:14 PM
The Snoqualmie Valley Hospital Foundation will host a free lunch-and-learn training session, on support for people who are caregivers for family or friends. The lunch-and-learn is Thursday, Oct. 6 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Snoqualmie Fire Department on Snoqualmie Parkway.
Primary caregivers often feel overwhelmed and frustrated, but support is available in several ways. The lunch-and-learn will cover HomeCare Associates’ new “Compassionate Support for Family Caregivers” program, as well as caregiver referrals to resources, assistance to access services such as support groups, individual counseling, caregiver training and respite care. Lunch is provided compliments of the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital Foundation.
Snoqualmie Valley Hospital District presents monthly lunch-and-learn programs in support of its vision to safeguard the health of the communities it serves. For more information, contact Fritz Ribary at fritzr@snoqualmiehospital.org or 425-831-2300, ext. 161.
