Mammography service offered in Carnation, one day only

Women won't need to leave the Valley to get a mammogram next week, when the Swedish Hospital Mobile Mammography van will be at the Sno-Valley Senior Center in Carnation on Tuesday, July 12. Women of all ages can use the service.

The mobile service accept most types of insurance including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance, but cannot accept GAU.

Women who are not seniors and don't have insurance can still have their annual checkups, through the Breast, Cervical and Colon Health Program (BCCHP) which provides a free annual mammogram. Call Brittany at (206) 727-6261 right away to register, since you will need a clinic visit prior to your mammogram.

The Center is located at 4610 Stephans Ave, in Carnation. Call (425) 333-4152 for an appointment and have your date of birth, location of last mammogram, date of last mammogram, primary care provider and insurance company, so that the comparison film can be ordered and in your file when you arrive. Over 55, or disabled and need a ride to the Center? Call the shuttle at (425) 333-4009 or toll free 1-877-415-3632 at least 24 hours in advance.
