The Mountains to Sound Greenway is marching into the next 20 years, literally. In celebration of their 20th Anniversary, the Greenway Trust is planning a nine-day march from Ellensburg to Seattle, weaving through the trails of the protected local landscape.

Taking place over nine days at the beginning of July, with festivities celebrating the hikers and the Greenway, the 20th Anniversary March will start in Ellensburg with stops in many of the communities of the Greenway. A final celebration is planned on the shores of Puget Sound with a party on Pier 58 at the Seattle Waterfront.

“The march is an opportunity for everyone in the Greenway to be part of something special, from hiking in the Greenway itself to joining their neighbors at one of our community celebrations,” said Cynthia Welti, Executive Director for the Trust. Local cities will host events during the March that will be open to the public and will include live music, special guests and family-friendly fun.
