The second annual Model Sailplane Open House is 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, at Camp Corey in Carnation.

Join the Seattle Area Soaring Society, or SASS, for an afternoon of flying model gliders. Members will be available to share their passion for radio controlled soaring.

Watch as model gliders of all sizes and levels of technology are put through their paces-riding thermals to the limits of vision and brought back to earth with precise control.

Club trainer airplanes will be available and a barbecue lunch will be provided. Visitors can meet the World Champions, Junior Division, who are members of the club.

Camp Korey is located at 28962 N.E. Carnation Farm Road.
