Si View Parks and Sallal Grange host a youth open mic evening, 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 10.

Youth are invited to share their love of music and their talents on stage at the Sallal Grange Hall, 12912 432nd Ave SE North Bend.

Would-be contestants at the upcoming Teen Valley Idol event can get invaluable stage time in front of a live audience at the event. No pre-registration is necessary, simply show up, sign up, and entertain, or assist as part of the stage crew.

The Grange will provide a professionally lit stage, sound system, sound engineer, and stage manager. The sound system can accept standard electric instruments, and has enough mics to cover most acoustic instruments. There is a piano on stage.

The number of songs and length of each set will be determined by the turnout.

Doors open at 6 p.m.; sign up ends at 6:45, or when full and performances start at 7. All performers will be entered for a chance to win a door prize.
