Thanksgiving distribution at Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank serves 311 families

Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank held its Thanksgiving meal distribution this week, serving 311 families.

On Wednesday, families were able to shop for their Thanksgiving turkeys — frozen, but with plenty of time to thaw — and other holiday meal supplies at the food bank, located next to the North Bend Community Church.

“Our freezer was packed with turkeys and we had enough for every household that wanted one,” said Food Bank Executive Director Heidi Dukich. “We have more turkeys that we will distributing next week for those households that did not receive one.”

Families can also sign up for help from the Kiwanis Giving Tree program at the food bank, through Dec. 7.

The Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank distribution days are Wednesdays, from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. There is also a seniors-only distribution from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Mondays.
