‘Spring into gardening’ with senior center’s annual plant sale, First Picks party, May 4 to 6

“Spring into Gardening” at the annual Plant and Garden Art Sale, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday, May 5 and 6, at the Sno-Valley Senior Center, 4610 Stephens Ave. in Carnation.

Just in time for Mother’s Day, this annual sale features thousands of annuals, perennials, shrubs, vegetables and herbs as well as garden art and a bake sale. Plant lovers will be treated to a wide variety of flowering plants; both the old favorites and the new and unusual.

Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer gardening questions and assist with color selections. Local artisans will sell hand-crafted garden art.

Children will have the opportunity to decorate and plant a pot as a mothers day gift or just for themselves on Saturday, May 6 only.

Be the first to choose plants and garden art before the rush at the First Picks Garden Party, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, May 4. For $25 you will enjoy wine, music, hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction.

Beautiful sun or shade hanging baskets are available to order now. For more information, to reserve First Picks Party tickets or to order a hanging basket, go to www.snovalleysenior.org or call (425) 333-4152.
