Snoqualmie skating rink set to open Dec. 10 in downtown Snoqualmie

The city of Snoqualmie will host its annual Winter Magic event, starting Dec. 10 with the opening of its synthetic skating rink in downtown Snoqualmie.

“We want to provide a festive environment and outdoor activities for families and kids during their winter break from school,” said Snoqualmie Parks and Public Works Director Dan Marcinko. “It’s all about bringing the community together this holiday season.”

The skating rink will be open from 1 to 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10, on King Street, next to the Railroad Community Park. Grand opening festivities include Santa’s elves, letter writing to Santa, hot chocolate, and free holiday ornaments with decorating tips from the Snoqualmie Arts Commission.

On Dec. 19, the rink will move to Snoqualmie Ridge at the intersection of Center Blvd. and S.E. Ridge Street. The grand opening on the Snoqualmie Ridge location will be 1 to 5 p.m. and will include a visit from Santa, Santa’s elves and the winter princesses.
