The Northwest Railway Museum will pay tribute to America’s servicemen and -women with steam train excursions offered on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30, in addition to its regular weekend train rides.

For the holiday weekend, all members of the military, including active duty, guard, reserve, retired, and dependent family members can ride the trains for a $5 roundtrip fare. The fare is offered Saturday, Sunday and Monday, May 28 to 30.

The scenic train excursions are on the museum’s antique train, traveling through the Cascade foothills of the Upper Snoqualmie Valley, and to the top of Snoqualmie Falls. All train rides include a stop at the museum’s Train Shed exhibit building, too.

Trains depart every 2 hours beginning at 11 a.m. from the Snoqualmie Depot at 38625 S.E. King Street and at noon from the North Bend Depot at 205 McClellan Street.
