North Bend plans full lineup of community fun for Saturday tree lighting

The city of North Bend will hold its holiday celebration, 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 at Mount Si Senior Center, 411 Main Ave. S. The new location this year will give participants an indoor option, next to the outdoor festvities, which will include a full schedule of performances.

Veils of the Nile, a belly dance troupe, takes the stage at 4 p.m., followed by Twin Falls Middle School Jazz Band I at 4:30 p.m.

At 5 p.m., Mayor Ken Hearing will lead the ceremony to light one of the large evergreens outside the senior center, and at 5:15 p.m., Santa Claus arrives on the Eastside Fire & Rescue Reindeer Engine.

Ignite dancers will perform to “Rockin around the Christmas Tree at 5:20 p.m. and a community sing-along of carols begins at 5:30 p.m.

The evening wraps up with performances at 6 p.m. by Sno-Valley Winds, and 6:30 by the Snoqualmie Valley Unicycle Club.
