Mount Si dance team to host first ever competition, dance showcase, Feb 17

The Mount Si High School dance team will host its first team competition, noon to 6 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 17 at the high school.

Dance teams from all over the state including Bellingham, Vancouver and Yakima will perform during the day. Local dance studios will also have showcase performances at the event. There will be six categories of competition during the day, pom, hip hop, dance, military, kick, and show.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and children under age 5 are admitted free.

The event will help fund the dance team to compete at nationals next year, the team trainingcamp, team leadership training and student scholarships. For more information go to www.mountsidanceteam.weebly.com.
