Masons award Fall City, Cascade View students, Bikes for Books

The North Bend Masons completed their Bikes for Books awards just before the end of classes in the Snoqualmie Valley School District.

On Monday, June 19, they awarded new bicycles and helmets to students at Cascade View Elementary and Fall City Elementary Schools.

Cascade View students chosen for the award were Destiny Chang, second grade and Gavin Pond, fourth grade. At Fall City Elementary, the awards went to Janet Becerra Celis, third grade, and Darron Christianson, second grade.

These schools encourage students to read age-appropriate books, choosing two readers to receive a bike and safety helmet as part of the North Bend Masons Bikes for Books program, which seeks to establish a love for reading, to increase reading skills, and to build a basis for success both in school and later in life.

North Bend Masons sponsor the annual Bikes for Books program with the participation of Singletrack Cycles of North Bend.
