Host families needed for Snoqualmie Sister City exchange students

The Snoqualmie Sister Cities Association will host a student exchange at the beginning of the year, from Jan. 28 to Feb. 26. Families in the city of Snoqualmie who would like to host students during this time are still needed.

Six students from Snoqualmie’s sister city of Chaclacayo, Peru, five girls and a boy, need host families for their stay. During their stay in Snoqualmie, the Peruvian students will attend Mount Si High School and will participate in activities organized by the Sister Cities Association.

Families that host these students will receive a stipend to cover the cost of meals and the exchange students staying in their homes will have insurance and their own spending money. Families with students in middle school, high school, or home school, are encouraged to participate as hosts.

Run by a board of local volunteers, the Snoqualmie Sister Cities Association has been working with the cities of Chaclacayo, Peru, and Gangjin, Korea, to support student exchange programs every year
