Doggiestock, a day of fun for dogs and their people, returns to Tollgate Farm Sept. 9

Dogs, grab your leashes and bring your humans to DoggieStock, noon to 6 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 9 at Tollgate Farm Park in North Bend.

Carriage Insurance is presenting the “day of tails and music,” with a full schedule of activities, bands, pet competitions and a beer garden, operated by the SnoValley Eagles. The festival benefits Valley Animal Partners a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in the Snoqualmie Valley which provide services for pets of low income families, seniors and veterans.

Bands scheduled to perform include Buck Ellard from 1 to 2:30 p.m., Lights Out from 3 to 3:50 p.m., and The Fabulous Boomers from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

The Doggie Olympics start at 1:30 with such games as bobbing for hot dogs at 1:30 p.m., best trick at 3:10 and longest kiss at 3:30. A costume contest and look-alike contest follow at 4 and all contests will award gold, silver and bronze medals to the winners. The cost to enter is $1 per event per dog.

In addition to the games, the event will include agility demonstrations, Search and Rescue dogs, food and other vendors and exhibitors. Pet adoption opportunities and information abound, with representatives of Seattle Humane Society’s Max Mobile, Smidget Rescue, Pup Dog Rescue, Grant County Animal Outreach, Washington Alaskan Malamute Adoption League, Col. Potter Cairn Rescue Network, Rancho Laguna, Save a Forgotten Equine and WA State Animal Rescue Team all attending.
