Audition for ‘A Christmas Carol’ at Valley Center Stage

Valley Center Stage in North Bend is holding auditions for its holiday production, “A Christmas Carol,” from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 23 and 24, and Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, at the theater, 119 North Bend Way North Bend.

All roles are available for this production of the beloved tale of Ebenezer Scrooge. Adults, teens and younger children are all welcome to audition. Specific roles include Scrooge, ghost of Jacob Marley, Ghost of Christmas Past, Ghost of Christmas Present, Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, undertaker and helpers, Scrooge’s nephew Fred, Fred’s wife Mary, Ms. Rosie (Mary’s sister), Mr. Topper, solicitors, Bob Cratchit, Mrs. Cratchit, Martha, Tiny Tim, Peter, Belinda, little Cratchits, Scrooge as a child, Fan (Scrooge’s sister), Scrooge as a boy, Scrooge as a headmaster, Scrooge as a young man, the Fezziwig family and friends, Belle, coworker Dick Wilkens, Want and Ignorance, Mrs. Dilber, Old Joe, Charwoman and businessmen. Some roles may be double cast.

Interested actors are encouraged, but not required, to bring a head shot and resume. Auditioners can read from the script or prepare a monologue. Caroling ability is helpful but this is not a musical production.

Rehearsals will begin Oct. 21, with a read-through on Oct. 14, and a break for the Thanksgiving holiday. Performance dates are Dec. 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16 and 17.
