Editorial cartoon needs some feedback | Letter

I have to say that there have been about a dozen times over the years when I was about to email a response to what I saw in your paper but then I always cooled down enough and kept on moving. So, you finally got me.

The cartoon (yes, it’s always the bothersome opinion cartoons) in the April 26 issue needs some feedback. The one about the insane Sound Transit car tab fees. Yes, it is the politicians who do this.

But, it is one brand of politician in particular that can always be counted on to do this kind of thing and to be guaranteed to raise our taxes wherever they can to continue their social engineering. It’s those politicians that you always support and favor, decade after Seattle decade. The politicians this One-Party area always votes for and you always protect and favor.

That’s why it had to be generic or neutral with “politicians” vs. calling them who they are — liberal Democrat politicians. The ones who are in total control and have been so in greater Seattle for decades.

So then, why the surprise or perplexity? You asked for it, and you got it. Go ahead, keep trying to influence the readers with the one-sided approach. A fair approach would alternate political views, allow the public to decide for themselves and show both sides of all the issues.
