Pet Awareness Day is 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 8, at Community Park on Snoqualmie Ridge.

The event includes pet photos and a costume contest, vendors, free food and a guided pet walk.

Pet Awareness Day is being put on by the ROA Pet Committee to create greater awareness for pet ownership, responsibility and resources within the community.
