‘Wonderful Life’ actress to read Christmas story

Salish Lodge & Spa will host a meet and greet and “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” reading, 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, with Karolyn Grimes, the actress best known for her role as Zuzu Bailey in the popular holiday film, “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
The event starts at 4 p.m. in the Purely Northwest Holiday Room at the Salish. Guests will have the chance to receive autographs and take photos with Grimes in this festive guestroom.
At 5 p.m., Grimes will read “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” in The Atrium. Complimentary apple cider and holiday cookies will be served.
Best known for her role as Zuzu, Grimes began her acting career at age four. She has worked with film legends John Wayne, Cary Grant, Bing Crosby, Loretta Young, Fred MacMurray, Betty Grable, Danny Kaye and Jimmy Stewart.
She eventually moved to the Seattle area where she continues to make her home.
Grimes now serves as the unofficial ambassador for the film “It’s a Wonderful Life,” traveling the world and speaking at screenings, benefits, conventions and other venues.
