Trailsfest is Saturday at Rattlesnake Lake

Families can get a hands-on introduction to the wonders of nature this weekend at the annual Trailsfest expo at Rattlesnake Lake near North Bend.

Trailsfest is jam-packed with guided excursions, informative presentations and hands-on clinics. Visitors can learn how to fit a backpack or give a dog backcountry first aid, paddle a canoe, climb on ice or discover the birds of Rattlesnake Lake, among dozens of activities.
