Several North Bend student actors appear in the latest production by CORE Theatrics, an Eastside theater company.
Their 2013 season opener, Urinetown The Musical, is onstage this weekend, 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Jan. 25 and 26, at Lake Washington High School Performing Arts Center, 12033 N.E. 80th St., Kirkland
North Bend’s Katie Jung, Ariana Christ and McKenna Griffin are part of the cast.
Urinetown is a comedy musical about corruption, greed, love, and revolution. Following a 20 year drought, the characters of the play are forced by the Urine Good Company (UGC) to "pay-to-pee." Those who cannot afford to pay the price for one of life's basic needs are sent to the penal colony of Urinetown. When a fee hike is enacted, a courageous rebel leads a revolt.
Ticket prices are $14 Student and Senior and $16 for adults.
