Three ways to celebrate the holidays in North Bend
This coming weekend offers families three ways to celebrate Christmas in the Valley. Downtown North Bend offers something for everyone, from an old-fashioned holiday tree lighting and block party, an exciting mountain films series and live theater.
Holiday festival, Saturday, December 8, 4 to 8:30 p.m.
Kick off the Holiday Season at the North Bend Holiday Festival. North Bend Way will be closed to traffic from Bendigo to Ballarat and open to Holiday Spirit! Bring the entire family for a fun filled afternoon/evening with caroling from schools, kids and community, entertainment, unicycle display, fire pits, activities and crafts for kids, a photo-op with Santa, Marshmallow roasting, a Gingerbread House contest, and of course the Holiday Tree lighting ceremony. See you by the fire!
North Bend Mountain Film Festival at North Bend Theater
The Banff International Film Festival Tour will be shown, December 5, 6 and 7, at the North Bend Theatre. North Bend’s thirrd Annual Amateur Film Challenge winning film will be shown on December 8, followed by Warren Miller Entertainment’s ‘Flow State’. For tickets and the full schedule of films and show times go to the Mountain Film Festival schedule on the North Bend Theatre website at www.northbendtheatre.com.
