All aboard the Santa Train; Tickets selling fast for Snoqualmie Valley tradition
The Northwest Railway Museum proudly offers the 44th edition of Santa Train – one of its many special events for families and biggest fundraiser of the year. You and your family can be part of this Northwest tradition!
Imagine this: You and your family are aboard a vintage train watching the scenic Cascade foothills outside your antique coach window. As you journey from North Bend to Snoqualmie, you hear the wheels on the train clickety-clack beneath you. The train pulls into the station and you see Santa Claus waving from the platform. As you alight from the train, the aroma of fresh-baked cookies greets you. You hurry into the railway kitchen car for hot cocoa and coffee to go with your cookies. Santa is waiting to see your family in the depot and he has a small gift for each of your children.
Dates and Times: The two-hour holiday celebration takes place November 24 - 25, December 1 - 2, December 8 – 9, and December 14 - 15. There are seven hourly departures to choose from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The museum is offering a special needs Santa Train at 9:31 a.m. on Friday, December 14.
Ticket Information: Since you don’t want Santa to see you cry, we’re telling you why you’d better buy them soon – the Santa Train sells out in advance. Order tickets in advance at www.trainmusuem.org ($20 per person for everyone ages 2 and up), or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Fascinating Fact about Santa Train : Museum volunteers bake over 24,000 cookies in the coal-fired ovens of the railway kitchen car every year for Santa Train. The ovens are lit at 5:00 a.m. to be ready for each day’s visitors to Santa.
